So I just found out about this camper today online and am very interested in its design. I like its possibility as a large solid base camp for long term camping and then remove panels for my truck bed. I am worried about future improvements and whether they will be applicable to the current first production models. I do plan to follow Teal's lifespan as they grow as a company and hope to have one soon.
Life goes by quickly, so should your station wagon. |

With the modularity of the Teal design, I think the possibilities - as stated in the shelter section of the Teal Camper site - is limited only by ones imagination.
It would be neat to see future variations of the panels. Perhaps one that has a wood veneer on either the outside or inside or both. Perhaps one where the wiring is built in for outlets. |

Some small camper I saw on YouTube had canvas under the sink and as a kind of locker in place of a closet. I tried to find it again but can't now. Sounded like a good idea for putting it away or even just for a kind of cramped space. Other features I like is the outside shower head in a cabinet I saw on the outside of the T@B camper. Looks like a great solution to space to me. You just need a shower tent. Also great for hosing off dirty kids and hunters and fishermen before coming into the camper. Sure woukd beat the smell of fish guts next to the bed.
I love the idea of having a spot on the website for plans to build cabinets and other furniture or feature items. Some sample floor plans would be good too, that show how the space can be used or how other people might be solving certain logistical problems. Some kind of solar system would be a great build in option. The screen door that you can Velcro around the T@B door is pretty slick too. Some kind of insulated reflective window coverings that help keep reflect heat and keep the place cool would be good. Something you can take on and off. One of the things I like about teardrops is the outdoor kitchen concept. I would never use a stove in a camper in the summer. We have friends that had a boler camper and that was their first piece of advice a modual that faced out for kitchen and bathroom might be a really good idea. The add-a-room tear drop tents that attach to the door are supper cute and really functional too. A screen tent room for eatting, sleeping or socializing would be nice. Sine everything is so modular it is consievable for the handy to make whatever. That's what we like about the product but these ideas of mine would be things we would be thinking about. |
