Does this mean that the Teal Camper is in production and I can see one in person to decide which one I want to order?

You can, however, drop the top at night when sleeping, or for security when leaving the campsite. The lifting mechanism is fast and easy to operate. There is approximately 5'-2" of head room with the top down so there is plenty of room to move about.

We are just beginning production so there are not any productions campers to view. You are welcome, however, to visit and take a look at the prototypes.

Hard Top, Hard Sides would be my preference as I live in the deep south and would want AC.

I have looked at many pop up designs and all the hard side solutions are either flimsy or heavy. The only way I know how to make a air tight hard side is to have the hole roof hinge down {like pushing on a rectangle and having it collapse to one side) and have the sides swing down to lock it in place. The down side of this design is you would lose a portion of the pop top opening that is required to accommodate the roof displacement when lowered.
The soft top is the only practical solution if weight is the key issue. Insulating the sides is ineffective at a reasonable price. However the collapsing of the roof can be improved by having the fabric drawn in by elastic cord to suck the top sides in as the top is lowered. The fabric could then be attached to the roof with Velcro if having it hang down on the inside is unacceptable.

Yup, one more for a hard top no soft sides. That was the first thing Hubby said, that he wasn't crazy about the fabric sided pop up but that he could always build something else. I would also want a fan, air conditioner, or ice pack air cooler, if not on the ceiling, than elsewhere. Maybe a fan could be mounted in one of the window panel slots?
