I wish this had been around a few years ago when I built a 4x8x4 plywood teardrop.
One question---The trailer platforms shown have a 6 to 8 inch edge around them. Is this necessary. I have a 4x8 platform (from the plywood teardrop) without the edge. How is the unit attached to the trailer platform? Thanks kukuwa@gmail.com |

I am not sure what you are referring to by "the edge." A 4x8 Teal Camper fits on a 4'x 8' platform. The sides of the camper angle out after a 10 1/2" vertical rise. The angle adds six inches per side to the inside dimensions so the inside wall dimension is 5' x 8'-6".
The camper is secured to the bed using the tie down rings and cargo straps or turnbuckles. You can also use angle brackets and screw the panels to the floor if you wish a more permanent attachment. See the photos at www.tealinternational.com/TealPanel/assembly.html I hope that answers your questions. |

Perhaps the 'edge' is the part fits into the trailer? I guess the part that is expands to the widest part is the outer edge?
